What is Kyma?
Kyma is a brain-computer interface that makes your brain easy to understand, learn from and build with. You wear the band, Kyma learns how your brain works over time, and you can use what it learns to understand yourself and to power the apps, games and AI you use.
What can I do with it?
Understand your brain, and use it as an input. See how your focus and stress change through your day, and let apps, games and AI respond to your state. It’s the first step toward software that understands you.
How does it learn my brain?
By wearing it. There are no lab sessions: wear Kyma while you read, talk to AI, meditate, play or build, and every session adds to your personal model. Over time it recognizes your patterns, not an average person’s, and learns new states.
Can Kyma read my thoughts?
No. EEG measures broad patterns of electrical activity, not words, images or thoughts. Kyma estimates states such as focus or mental effort from those patterns, and it gets more accurate as it learns your personal baseline.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Kyma Studio shows your insights without writing any code, and if you want to make something new, you can describe the idea to Kyma and it builds a working app wired to your live signals. If you do code, Kyma Studio includes an API and SDK, and we’re opening a developer platform this winter for builders, developers and researchers.
What devices does it work with?
Kyma works with your computer and your phone. Kyma Band connects over Bluetooth to Kyma Studio on Mac and Windows, and to the Kyma mobile app on iPhone and Android.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Your band works with Kyma Studio without a subscription, including recording sessions, your personal brain model and the tools to build with it. We plan to offer Kyma Plus, an optional subscription for deeper insights, and we’ll share details before it launches.
How much is it, and when am I charged?
The Founding Batch price is $299 ($349 after the Founding Batch), plus sales tax where it applies, with free US shipping. The full price is charged when you preorder, and you’ll get a receipt by email right away.
When will it ship?
We expect the Founding Batch to ship in Q1 2027, to US addresses only for now. We’ll email you a tracking number when your band leaves. If the date changes, we’ll email you a new date, and you can cancel for a full refund or keep your place.
Can I cancel or return it?
Preorders are final once placed. You’ll get a full refund before your band ships if we can’t ship by the date we’ve given you and you’d rather not wait, if we make a material change to the product, if it doesn’t complete FCC authorization, or if we cancel your order. After your band arrives, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund. See the preorder terms and returns policy.
How do I change my order or get help?
Your receipt email has your order number, which starts with KB-. To update your shipping address before your band ships, or with any question about your order, email contact@kymaneuro.com with that number. Each order is for one band; for another, place a second order.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Kyma Band comes with a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Read the warranty.
Is Kyma Band a medical device?
No. Kyma Band is a consumer device and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. We’re pursuing FDA 510(k) clearance for Kyma Band as an EEG recording device, to independently validate its signal quality, and we’ll share updates as that progresses.
